Who would have thought that Renaissance music was alive in Johannesburg! The whole performance was highly professional and engaging. An afterthought - Might you sometime dip into medieval music?

I'm generally a rock and blues kinda girl but WOW, was this an amazing experience! Loved every moment of The Birth of the Baroque. Excellent musicians and singers, vibrant and knowledgeable conductor, and an engaged audience. Plus, fantastic acoustics in the St. Francis Anglican Church!
Turned an ordinary and rather boring Wednesday into something to remember. I'm already planning my next few months around which upcoming events I'll be attending 🙂

What a tasteful and well-designed program! I got chills hearing Leigh Nudelman's voice fill the auditorium. And Adam Golding's versatility, knowledge and humour is unrivaled. The African Renaissance Ensemble is doing exciting things in this space and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a unique and cultural experience.

We have been to multiple shows now and attend whenever we can! The shows are always excellent, informative and entertaining. We love the unusual instruments and everyone in the ensemble is immensely talented. In particular we also appreciate the historical information and always come away having learned something new!
